TOKYO -- Russia has not supplied nuclear weapons to Iran, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said here on Wednesday, IRNA reported.

"Moscow strictly adheres to all the international norms regarding the non-proliferation of mass destruction weapons," Ivanov told reporters after meeting his Japanese counterpart Yoriko Kawaguchi, emphasizing that it applies both to Iran and other countries.

He reminded that the subject of nuclear non-proliferation in connection with Iran is under constant consideration at Russian-U.S. consultations at all levels, including specialized ministries and departments.

"Nothing new has happened here," Ivanov said.
